Am I required to take the Florida notary training course if I was a notary in another state?
Yes. If your previous commission was not in Florida you do have to take the Florida notary training course. This is a requirement of Florida law. Our online, Florida notary training course is approved by the State of Florida.
If I let my Florida notary commission lapse, do I need to take the Florida notary training course?
You are not required to take the Florida notary training course if you previously held a Florida Notary Public commission within the past 15 years. However, we strongly recommend that you do so as there have been changes in Florida notary law over the past several years.
